Google laptop’s revolutionary web browser just got better with its whole new avatar and a vast range of easy to use applications. All these applications are created with the real time utility in mind and are potent in helping the user in many ways possible. All these applications can be used only with the Chrome laptop and therefore the browser’s versatility has also increased by quite a few notches. How does it work?

The Website Blocker application can be easily used to block any website that the user thinks to be harmful for his system. It can either block the entire URL in the address bar of the browser, or it can block the website that is mentioned by the user for a pre-determined period of time. It can even register and display an error message to be shown to the user when accessing any blocked site. So the application has a wide spectrum of functionalities in any Chrome laptop.

Chromebook’s remarkable feature is the “Incognito Window” where the user can access any website of their choice but leave no trace after closing it and can even preserve the files downloaded from there in their Google laptop. The Website Blocker can be used to allow the Incognito mode by opening a new Incognito Window and going to the extension manager section and selecting the “Allow in Incognito” option from there. The Website Blocker functions can be even turned on or off accordingly!

If your taskbar is bugging you then the Website Blocker can even take care of that! Just go to the toolbar icon and right click on it and select the “Hide Button” option in your Chromebook and voila! Apart from all these usages, many new extensions have been released for this application. Some of them can enhance the performance and renew the pop-up extension in any Chrome laptop; some have fixed the meagre number of bugs present in the application while quite a few fan extensions are for the Spanish and Italian translations of this English application.

Here is a little example how Website Blocker works: Suppose your command is (Orkut| Facebook| MySpace).com 0800-1300, 1500-1730 then it means all the three websites shall be blocked from 8:00am to 1:00pm and also from 3:00pm to 5:30pm. If we simply write “google.com” as the command, then Google itself shall be blocked for an indefinite period of time until the user commands something else inside the Google laptop. This has found popularity with parents to prevent their children from visiting undesirable websites while working on the Internet.
